Bondi Bio

Hi! My name is Carolyn Bondi, aka “Bondi” for short.

I am a graduate of CDO high school, University of Arizona, and Hogan School of Real Estate.  I am an “almost-native” of Tucson, Az.

I grew up listening to the market-analysis of real estate from the perspective of my father, observing the negotiation process of buying and selling homes from a very early age, and watching houses become homes at the laboring hands of my dear old dad.

I would consider it an honor and a privilege to assist you with any and all of your real estate needs, but first let me tell you a little bit about who I really am!

I was raised in Oracle, AZ, a cozy little town about 45 minutes north of Tucson.  There, my parents met and fell in love!  We didn’t have much, but my dad, an electrician by trade, has always been a hard-working good ole’ boy.  In addition to his regular work week (complete with overtime), my dad would flip houses to make a little extra money.  We would buy a house, a true “fixer-upper”, as mom would call it.  We would live there while my dad made it beautiful and then sell it.  He saved up enough money to purchase several acres of land and thus began the real adventures!

It’s funny, as kids, my siblings and I always referred to the “adventure” as “The Land”.  “The Land” was an undeveloped 7.5 acres of terrain.  It was rugged, but beautiful.  My dad worked so hard to prepare that property for us to live on.  He did most everything himself.  Better said, there were zero power lines out there until we got there.  Power lines had to go up, roads had to be graded in, and land cleared for a home.  Dad dug the well, put in the septic tank, you get the picture!  I’m talking from scratch!

For awhile there, it was like being on a camping trip for life!

Ahh, but what a measure of accomplishment my good ole pops must have felt when he could finally flip on a light switch, turn on a water faucet, and declare, “honey, I’m home!  (I know mom and I were thrilled!)  I digress…

There wasn’t a high school per se’ that was directly correlated to our school district out in Oracle, therefore we were able to choose between two of the neighboring high schools.  I chose CDO.  Despite the 45 minute drive, I will always be glad I did.  There was nothing wrong with the alternative, but it was a similar environment to where I grew up.  It sounds silly, because Tucson is not so big, but CDO offered this small town girl an opportunity to expand horizons a bit.  I met new people and new perspectives.  I eventually found my way to the UA and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Psych.  Upon graduation, I immediately enrolled in Real Estate School.  I finished at the top of my class and was excited to launch my new career.  A good friend offered me a position with her real estate company and I graciously accepted.  Since then, I have been working in sales on site at a condominium developmentand love it!   The experience in site sales is really fantastic, but I have found a real pleasure in working outside the sales office as well in what is referred to as “re-sale”.  [“Resale” is the  buying and selling of non-commercial properties that are not sold from a sales office through a developer, but by individual home owners often with the representation of a licensed real estate agent.]  I am fortunate to work for a company that allows me to do both, thus the reinvention of my career and the launch of this blog.    I am thankful for the opportunity and excited to share my journey with you.  Hopefully I will be helpful to you in the process!
